For me, a big red flag in a workplace is having a table-game set up in the conference room like ping pong or billiards. To me, if a company has something like this set up in their break room, it's just for shock value for new hires and prospective clients. Your boss is trying to scream, ‘We have fun in the office!’ just before cracking the whip on his jack-of-all-trades all-star employee making barely more than minimum wage and working 60-hour weeks on a salary.
The only way to know if an employer actually cares about you is if they offer helpful, company-funded perks such as PTO, healthcare, or other healthy lifestyle bonuses that benefit the employees without some ulterior motive to make the company look good on paper.
